Accounting Major - Stockton University
About Me
I am currently a Sophomore at Stockton University as a Business major with a concentration in Accounting. I am in an accelerated Masters Degree Program that will let me earn my Masters Degree in Accounting in only five years. I am a member of Stockton's Accounting and Finance Society, where we connect with professionals to better prepare ourselves for the CPA exam and our futures.
I have worked with a few different companies in the past, each very different from the others. I have worked at a pizzeria, where I answered phones and placed orders, as well as greeting and seating customers. I have worked in an electric power equipment manufacturer, where I prepped metal to be painted and also measured and cut different lengths of metal. Also, I have worked in a baseball training facility, where I aided coaches in the training of their teams; I critiqued players during their workouts to help them improve as players.

In terms of my intended career, I plan to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting by May 2018, followed by my Master's Degree the following year. I also plan to complete an internship with an accounting firm before I earn my Master's Degree. Upon graduation, I intend to complete the CPA exam and find a job. Within the next decade, my goal is to find employment where I can settle down and start to raise a family. I would enjoy being able to possibly find employment with a company in New York, such as on Wall Street. Also, it is a dream of mine to do business with companies internationally because numbers are the same in every language, making it easily understood by all.
